Making sure people with fibromyalgia have a voice.

We advocate for a future where people with fibromyalgia are diagnosed earlier, connected to appropriate care, and have access to effective, affordable treatments.

We bring the voices and lived experiences of people with fibromyalgia into the conversations that shape research, healthcare, and public policy. Our advocacy includes working with policymakers, supporting efforts to strengthen chronic pain research and care, raising awareness of fibromyalgia, and helping ensure people with lived experience have a meaningful seat at the table.

OUR CORE BELIEFS

We advocate for research and the three A's of treatment for fibromyalgia and chronic pain - Appropriate, Accessible and Affordable.

  • Chronic pain is a real and complex disease that may exist by itself or be linked with other medical conditions.

  • Chronic pain is both an under-recognized and under-resourced public health crisis with devastating personal and economic impact.

  • Effective chronic pain care requires access to a wide range of treatment options, including biomedical, behavioral health and complementary treatment.

  • Denying appropriate care to people with chronic pain is unethical and can lead to unnecessary suffering, depression, disability and even suicide.
